Several times today this beautiful CD cover appeared in my reader and several times I read something about an “interactive” CD cover. The fact that you can trigger this (albeit amazing) effect only one single time upon opening, makes this sleeve just about as interactive as a firecracker, nevertheless I remembered what I intendet to post already a while ago. I do have a real interactive CD cover lying around here at home.
The CD cover of the Awesome Edition of Moldovers album of the same title is itself a musical instrument namely a theremin. At the moment you’ll have to settle with the video above, but maybe I’ll post a performance of myself here later.
The album can be ordered in the shop on Moldover’s website.
Ten One Design’s new Inklet app turns your MacBooks trackpad into a wacom like mini pen tablet.
Their site seems to be very slow due to the high demand.

Another very nice crowdsourced music video by Roel Wouters and Jonathan Puckey. The idea is rather simple, the guys shot a music video and now ask visitors of a website to mimic single frames of it, the original frames in the video get replaced by the user submitted onces on an hourly basis.
As often, the simplest ideas are the best.
The album preview page for DJ/Producer Tomoyuki Tanaka’s new Album “FPM.” is the first part of what promises to become a brilliant website redesign by japanese interactive design studio tha ltd.
The song titles on the website are sound reactive, listen to a song and see the effect.

Magician Marco Tempest tests out “Magic Projection”, his new Augmented Reality Projection Tracking system, on the streets in Tokyo.
The system presented here is called ProFORMA (Probabilistic Feature-based On-line Rapid Model Acquisition). It was developed by Qi Pan, a PhD Student at Cambridge University.
More Infos, the paper, and a detailed demonstration can be found here.
For each unique visitor it receives, the website temporary.cc deletes part of itself until it is becoming a blank white website. Its existence will be remembered only by those who saw or heard about it.
A project by Zach Gage.
After project natal, another innovative interface concept by Microsoft.
