Auto Smiley is an application by Theo Watson that runs in the background and analyzes your facial expressions in real-time. If it detects a smile on your face it pastes an ascii smiley face into the application you are currently using.

Several times today this beautiful CD cover appeared in my reader and several times I read something about an “interactive” CD cover. The fact that you can trigger this (albeit amazing) effect only one single time upon opening, makes this sleeve just about as interactive as a firecracker, nevertheless I remembered what I intendet to post already a while ago. I do have a real interactive CD cover lying around here at home.
The CD cover of the Awesome Edition of Moldovers album of the same title is itself a musical instrument namely a theremin. At the moment you’ll have to settle with the video above, but maybe I’ll post a performance of myself here later.

This digital guitar by Misa definitely looks more like a real instrument than just another Guitar Hero controller. As the software is open source, new effects can be prorgramed individually.
