Crimespotting

After the map of crimes in Oakland, there is also an interactive map of crimes in San Francisco online. Everybody can have a look at city government data displayed on the same city’s map and filter them down to different crime types and periods of time. This project is made by Stamen Design. Go have a look at their site, as they display some other equally genious projects on there.

OOOii ist the number one adress speaking about the design of futuristic software interfaces in Hollywood Blockbusters. They earned quite some fame with their legendary gesture interface from Minority Report, that allows Tom Cruise to find criminals before they ever attempted their crime.
In an interview on the “The Flash Blog” the guys from OOOii explain how they used Adobe Flash in Feature Films like Star Trek. [via]
