Here’s an interesting behind the scenes look of the performance capturing technique, that was used to animate the characters in this blockbuster.
Another very nice crowdsourced music video by Roel Wouters and Jonathan Puckey. The idea is rather simple, the guys shot a music video and now ask visitors of a website to mimic single frames of it, the original frames in the video get replaced by the user submitted onces on an hourly basis.
As often, the simplest ideas are the best.
In their reel, the guys from Stargate Studios demo the possibilities with greenscreen and other special effects.

Being a clay animation fan and having loved The Flintstones TV series as a kid, i was kind of surprised when i stumbled upon this little gem, that i haven’t seen it before. A dream sequence from The Flintstones: On the Rocks, a stop motion animation by Screen Novelties. I wish they would make a feauture-length Flinstone movie like this.
